Located in the magnificent countryside in Alentejo, two separate farmhouses which are known as “Montes” in the region occupy this quaint rural property. The largest house called “Monte Vehlo” can accommodate two families or up to six people and “Cassa da Palmeira” the second smaller house can accommodate a single family or up to four guest at any given time. There are also two beautiful beaches, Alteirinhnos and Carvalha, reachable within 10 minutes of the property.
A perfect way to relax is to visit the vivid garden which makes up most of the property. You will be able to smell fragrances of blossoming flowers and herbs such as thyme, lavender and rosemary aromas.
On very warm days, the scenery is simply invigorating! Whether you are on the patio or on a terrace taking in the view, the calm atmosphere of the countryside will rejuvenate you.
These peaceful surroundings will allow you to take time to do relaxing activities like reading a good book or just enjoying a serene and calm atmosphere. If you are more of an adventurous type however, don´t forget to bring your binoculars along for a fascinating activity of bird watching.
The house is also available during the pleasantly mild winter months. Enjoy a cosy night in with a book or movie by the antique wood stove, or take a stroll on the many neighbouring pathways and take in the crisp fresh air.

Monte da Fornalha is located between the towns of Estremoz and Borba. Estremoz is in the centre of the prolific marble-quarry region of the Alentejo.
The property was once the farm house and the local blacksmith. It has been carefully restored with great attention being paid to all details, resulting in a beautiful house ideal for those wanting to explore the area.
Surrounded by 17th-century walls this town was one of the most important fortifications in the country and the influence of other cultures is reflected in the battlements which have been influenced by the Arab occupation.
Borba is noted for its white marble and fruity wines. The locally produced wine is considered to be one of the best in the country.
This villa has a total of five tastefully decorated bedrooms all with large en suite bathrooms and central heating. Another bedroom is locked and contains the owner’s personal effects. The sitting room has a traditional Alentejo fireplace and comfortable seating. A couple of steps leads you into the spacious dining room with seating for up to 12 people. Adjacent to this room is a fully fitted kitchen.
There is a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue area. The swimming pool is in the mature garden with lawn and fruit trees, surrounded by olive groves for natural shade. There are various activities available in the surrounding area such as horse riding, golf, hiking and bird-watching. The owner reserves the right to occupy an extra self contained unit on the property. She understands that when the house is rented out as a single unit the clients will have total privacy, no interference and exclusive use of the swimming pool.

This stunning villa is set in an almost unrivalled position on the cliffs above a beautiful beach where there is a snack bar.
There is direct private access to the beach from the gardens via a gate and steep steps. The large private property shares electric gates with São Nemesio and a flower lined drive leads to the individual entrances.
There is a gate in the garden for guests wishing to book both properties; otherwise they remain private and independent from each other.
It is difficult to believe that this villa is just a short walk from Santa Eulália with its variety of restaurants and bars – whilst some of these are visible from parts of the garden, other sections enjoy complete privacy.
The popular Areias de São João is also close by making this a good choice for groups which include teenagers, although many clients barely leave this idyllic spot and choose instead to stock up at the local supermarket.
The sea view from Vallabonzo is so breathtaking that it has to be seen to be believed and can be enjoyed from most of the property including the sitting room, large terrace and garden. If the terrace doors are open, there is a gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves lapping on the shore below.
The sitting room is stylish and comfortable and opens onto the wide dining terrace. From the sitting room an arch leads to the modern kitchen, with a breakfast area and there is a circular stone staircase down to the bedrooms which are both cool and comfortable.
All bedrooms open directly by door windows to the garden and the pool.
We recommend early booking of this beautiful villa.
